A World of Opportunity in Engineering at Whirlpool

 

The Whirlpool Engineering Rotational Leadership Development (WERLD) Program is a world class rotational program that provides each of its engineers with an understanding of Whirlpool’s products, processes, and organizational structure. This program provides a comprehensive orientation, challenging rotations, and practical engineering experience. These opportunities build a solid foundation for engineering excellence and accelerated career development.

By joining the WERLD Program, you will be entering an established network of top talent that continues to fuel the growth and success of the world’s leading consumer appliance company. This rotational program allows participants to work with WERLD graduates and other successful engineers and managers to build skills and drive innovation and success within our company.

Rotations

There are diverse rotational opportunities within the WERLD Program. Participants develop their rotational plans, choosing from the following functional areas:

  • Product Development
  • Research
  • Project Management
  • Manufacturing
  • Areas outside of engineering (e.g., marketing, supply chain, patent law, etc.)

Additionally, participants are highly encouraged to choose an international rotation to gain exposure to global business and product development. International locations include:

  • Italy
  • Brazil
  • Poland
  • Germany
  • Mexico
  • China
  • India

Timeline

The program lasts two years with multiple six- or 12-month rotations completed during this time. Upon successful completion of the program, WERLD graduates will enter advanced full-time professional engineering positions.

Requirements

Candidates pursuing a master's degree in mechanical, electrical, computer or chemical engineering or related engineering fields are eligible to apply. Additionally, we seek individuals with superior academic performance, strong leadership skills, and excellent communication and teamwork skills.
