Whirlpool demonstrates its commitment to community and society through its partnership with Habitat for HumanityÒ International (HFHI). Whirlpool is the largest global partner of Habitat for Humanity. Our partnership is about inspiring employees, trade partners, and consumers to build lives through the unforgettable, life-enriching experience that is Habitat for Humanity.

Whirlpool’s partnership is a multi-faceted program that embodies the spirit and values of Whirlpool Corporation, while focusing on Whirlpool’s global mission of, “Passionately creating loyal customers for life,” through our Whirlpool brand strategy.

Since 1999, we have provided a Whirlpool Energy Star-qualified refrigerator and range to every new Habitat home built in North America. Today Whirlpool supports Habitat in 18 countries around the world. Overall, we have donated well over 70,000 appliances to deserving Habitat partner families, and thousands of employees have helped build over 100 Whirlpool sponsored Habitat homes.

The Whirlpool – Habitat partnership continues to evolve and, in 2004 Reba McEntire joined us to help spread the word about Habitat for Humanity. Whirlpool sponsors the Reba/Habitat for Humanity concert tour which has brought a new focus to our Habitat work.

In 2006 we kicked off the Whirlpool Building Blocks program which is the signature program of our great partnership. With Whirlpool Building Blocks, we bring hundreds of consumers from around the country together with our employees to build a block of homes together in partnership with deserving families. The program focuses on a new community every year that is working to eliminate substandard housing.

Our Habitat partnership keeps evolving and growing with one constant theme - it’s all about people. We continue to build on the foundation of our employees and want to invite and engage our customers to join us in this work.
