The Global Technology & Engineering Center (GTEC) team consistently demonstrates its capability, bringing amazing ideas and translating them into user-friendly solutions that improve life at home. Whirlpool Corporation provides an inspiring work environment at GTEC that fosters agility, collaboration and creativity.

Manufacturing Plants
FARIDABAD
The Whirlpool Faridabad Operation is the oldest and largest single product plant in Indian home appliance manufacturing, producing single door refrigerators since 1995. It is located in the Faridabad NIT, only a 10 minutes drive from its nearest metro station, Bata Chowk. Faridabad is one of the 100 smart cities in India selected in the Smart City Mission initiative by the Union Ministry of Urban Development. In addition to being one of the leading industrial centres of Delhi NCR, Faridabad offers a variety of contemporary facilities for residence, entertainment, transportation, education and healthcare.

PUDUCHERRY
Located in one of the Union Territories in India, Puducherry is also commonly referred as Pondy. Whirlpool established its operations in Puducherry to manufacture washing machines. Puducherry, a former French colony is a perfect amalgamation of the traditional Indian sensibilities and French architecture, making it a dreamy escape that offers the best of both worlds.

Pune plant was inaugurated in October 1996 and manufactures state of the art Single Door and Double Door Refrigerators. Located in Ranjangaon, an industrial area at a distance of 54 kms from Pune, it is one of the fastest developing manufacturing hubs in India. Pune is known as the “Oxford of the East” due to the presence of several well-known educational institutions.
